KAWPI to discuss national strategy direction for \'post-sovereign AI\'

The Korea Association of World Politics and Information (KAWPI) will hold its third Global Digital Forum on Sept. 8 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, focusing on “post-sovereign AI” and the future direction of South Korea’s national AI strategy. Co-organised with the Center for Future Warfare Studies, the forum will review AI use in the private and public sectors amid the spread of generative and agent AI. It will also examine the status and challenges of “sovereign AI 2.0.”

Financial sector moves beyond tests to roll out AX in production; executive interest far higher than DX

Financial companies are accelerating moves to deploy AI in production beyond proof-of-concept tests, with executives playing a major role in adoption, speakers said at an AWS financial services forum in Seoul. They said questions have shifted to how to operate agents safely at scale and prevent duplication across departments. Security, safety and data reliability were cited as key requirements. Hyundai Capital said top management backing and input from employees helped drive its companywide AI transition.

Shinhan Bank teams up with Holt Child Welfare Association to support legacy donations using trusts

Shinhan Bank said it has signed an agreement with the Holt Child Welfare Association to promote legacy donations using trust services. The two organisations will cooperate on linking counselling for legacy giving and trust-based donations, providing financial advice for managing donors’ assets, reviewing ways to carry out donations through trusts and conducting related publicity. Customers who want to leave bequests to Holt can use Shinhan’s will-substitute trust services.
