Naver Cloud to develop 700B cybersecurity AI model, preloads 4,000 GPUs

Naver Cloud said on Sept. 3 its consortium has been selected as the final operator for the government’s specialised AI foundation model project in the cybersecurity field and has begun full-scale development. It preloaded 4,000 B200 GPUs for pretraining ahead of the official start. The consortium will also use 256 government-provided GPUs and an additional 256 H200 GPUs from LG. It plans to develop two 700B MoE security models using HyperCLOVA X and LG AI Research’s EXAONE.

Ha Jung-woo returns to national AI strategy committee to coordinate AI G3 plan

Ha Jung-woo (하정우), a former senior presidential aide for AI planning, will return to government as full-time vice chair of the presidential National AI Strategy Committee. President Lee Jae-myung made the appointment on Aug. 30. Ha left his post in April to run in an April by-election in Busan and lost in June, returning about four months later. The committee reviews and coordinates national AI strategy and checks implementation by ministries.

Wrtn AX expands into enterprise AX, targets 10 billion won revenue this year

Wrtn Technologies is accelerating its push into the enterprise AX market based on experience operating B2C services and a multi-large language model strategy. It set up an internal independent company, Wrtn AX, in late September last year, led by CEO Park Min-jun. Wrtn AX is highlighting products such as AI customer service and an automated backend generation agent, and is promoting an “AX Triangle” strategy combining consulting, training and implementation.
