Naver Cloud is joining forces with Nvidia to push ahead in earnest with a global artificial intelligence (AI) factory project.

Kim Yoo-won (김유원), CEO of Naver Cloud, attended Nvidia's Cloud Partner Summit in Taipei on Monday and shared the business direction.

At "GTC Taipei 2026" held the previous day, Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang officially announced Naver Cloud as a key partner in the global AI ecosystem.

The cooperation covers a full-stack AI build spanning infrastructure, models and services. Naver Cloud will use Nvidia's open large language model (LLM) Nemotron 3 Ultra to upgrade HyperCLOVA X. The companies will also jointly research optimisation of ultra-large language models and core technologies.

Naver Cloud also plans to support building regionally optimised sovereign AI models through partnerships with governments and local companies in each country. After a meeting next week between Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, the companies plan to disclose details of their global AI factory cooperation.

Kim said, "The AI industry's paradigm is shifting from model-centric to the era of inference-centric AI factories." He added, "Cooperation with Nvidia is a strategic decision that goes beyond a simple GPU supplier-customer relationship to jointly develop AI technologies and expand the global AI ecosystem."

Raz Mirpouri (라즈 미르푸리), Nvidia vice president for global AI cloud and infrastructure, said, "Through cooperation with Naver Cloud, we will support customers in Asia and around the world so they can broadly use Nvidia's integrated AI platform to build sovereign AI, industrial AI and enterprise AI."
