Desktop PCs gaining role in AI infrastructure as agentic AI spreads

As agentic AI spreads, AI computing is expanding beyond the cloud to PCs on employees’ desks, a Dell Technologies Korea executive said. He outlined three AI infrastructure trends: workloads extending to on-premise data centres, AI PCs and workstations; AI PCs becoming central in AI-native organisations; and widening attack surfaces as AI moves to endpoints, increasing the importance of data management and security. He also highlighted token costs and the need for hybrid AI deployment.

Woori Bank builds \'hybrid consultation bot\' integrating generative AI

Woori Bank will build a consultation bot that combines existing consultation procedures with generative AI and introduce a service linking phone consultations with smartphone screens. The bank said it is launching a project to rebuild its AI chatbot and consultation bot to improve customer convenience. The project includes a hybrid AI consultation bot, multimodal consultations, and expanded access channels. WooriWON Banking’s AI chatbot will be revamped and AI banker screens unified in phases.

Intel unveils OpenClo-based SuperClo, says it cuts cloud token use by over 70 percent

Intel has released a public beta of its enterprise hybrid AI platform SuperClo based on the open-source OpenClo framework, HotHardware reported. The platform dynamically distributes work between local systems and the cloud. High-frequency tasks such as file parsing, memory search and masking sensitive data run on-premises, while complex multi-step reasoning and deep web searches are selectively sent to cloud large language models. Intel said this can cut cloud token consumption by over 70 percent.
