OpenAI next-generation model Astra seen likely to launch in September

Prediction market betting is concentrating on a September unveiling of OpenAI’s next AI model, Astra, even though no official launch date has been announced. Polymarket prices implied odds of 59 percent for a launch by Sept. 15 and about 72 percent by Sept. 30, with tens of thousands of dollars traded. OpenAI said on Aug. 7 it slowed the rollout due to cybersecurity risks and noted progress in agentic coding and cybersecurity.
