Hangeul and Computer Foundation, Our Culture Guardians to hold multicultural harmony camp

Hangeul and Computer Foundation and Our Culture Guardians will jointly hold the “Multicultural Harmony Camp: The Joy of Being Together” on Oct. 4-5 at Cheongrium in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. It is the foundation’s first official event. Multicultural families from seven metropolitan-area organisations will participate. Organisers will award 30 million won in scholarships to 30 youths and sign an MOU with the Gapyeong County Family Center. The camp includes performances, a culture lecture, games and food booths.

MSIT discusses platform policy in AI era at strategic task forum

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT reviewed changes in the platform industry environment stemming from the spread of artificial intelligence and discussed future policy direction. The ministry held a strategic task forum in Seoul with the Digital Platform Policy Forum, the Korea Internet Corporations Association and the Korea Information and Communications Law Association. Presentations covered the value of platforms in the AI era and regulatory issues and improvements. Officials said views raised will be reflected in future policy.

Shinhan Bank expands tailored financial services for ethnic Koreans from China

Shinhan Bank is partnering with the Chinese Korean Residents Federation to improve financial access for ethnic Koreans from China living in South Korea and expand tailored services. The bank said it signed a business agreement on Sept. 14 at its Seoul headquarters. The two sides will link Shinhan SOL Global with web-based financial services, run joint marketing for in-person and non-face-to-face events, and pursue cooperation projects to improve convenience.
