IBK Investment Securities appoints Choi Kwang-jin as new CEO

IBK Investment Securities appointed Vice President Choi Kwang-jin (최광진) as its new chief executive officer and president, it said on Monday after holding an extraordinary shareholders meeting and a board meeting. The company said it plans to strengthen competitiveness based on support for small and venture businesses and consumer-focused management. Choi, born in 1965, joined Industrial Bank of Korea in 1992 and held a series of posts before serving as COO at IBK Investment Securities.

NIPA supports K-Health push into Vietnam, secures export deals and MOUs

South Korean digital healthcare companies signed export contracts and business cooperation agreements in Vietnam through a joint overseas expansion programme, the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA said on Monday. Daejeon, Daegu and Gwangju jointly ran the programme for the first time. Activities in Vietnam from June 22 to 26 included hospital visits, business meetings and networking. Kotras signed an $85,000 export deal and is pursuing another $70,000 deal in Hanoi.

Worksphere seeks firms for 2026 overseas worker employment matching support programme

AI and data-based HR tech platform Worksphere is recruiting Korean small and midsize venture companies to take part in the 2026 Overseas Worker Employment Matching Support Programme (K-Tech College), led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. The programme finds and matches vetted Vietnamese IT talent, supporting hiring at about 52 percent of South Korea’s average labour costs. Worksphere said it matched 145 Vietnamese IT workers to 27 firms last year.
