Hana Bank\'s Travelog foreign currency account tops 100,000

Hana Bank said on Aug. 24 that sign-ups for its Travelog foreign currency demand deposit account surpassed 100,000 about 10 months after launch. The account links foreign currency storage, payments and investment, connecting Hana Financial Group\'s Travelog travel service with Hana Bank\'s foreign currency deposits and Hana Securities\' overseas stock trading. Customers can charge foreign currency into \"Foreign Currency Hana Money\" without fees and keep unused funds to earn interest. Up to 10 currencies can be deposited, with a combined limit of $10,000.

Hana Financial launches Incheon integrated campaign ahead of Cheongna HQ move

Hana Financial Group will run an integrated campaign in the Incheon area ahead of its planned move of group headquarters to Cheongna in September. The campaign, running through Sept. 30, involves key affiliates including Hana Bank, Hana Securities, Hana Card and Hana Savings Bank. The group will offer preferential financial product terms and prize events, along with tailored local programs such as small business loans and a university student contest.

KakaoPay Travelog check card issuance tops 500,000

KakaoPay said cumulative issuance of its KakaoPay Travelog check card, launched with Hana Card, has exceeded 500,000. The card combines KakaoPay Money for domestic payments with foreign-currency Hana Money for overseas spending. It provides Travelog benefits such as free currency exchange, waiver of overseas transaction fees and overseas ATM withdrawal fees. Users can link existing bank accounts to KakaoPay Money without opening a separate account.
