Xbox CEO rules out sale report

Microsoft has formally denied reports that it is seeking to sell Xbox as the gaming business undergoes major restructuring. Xbox Chief Executive Asha Sharma said in an interview that Xbox is not on the market, and that the company will take steps needed to put the business on a successful track while reviewing partnerships and operating models. The reports spread after media said Microsoft had discussed a spinoff or a more independent structure, but no official sale plan has been announced.

Qualcomm chip-based Microsoft Surface PCs show 80 percent faster local AI inference

Qualcomm presented agentic AI as the direction for its Snapdragon X2 series at Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui, Hawaii. Microsoft unveiled a 12-inch Surface Pro and a 13-inch Surface Laptop powered by Snapdragon X2 Plus. Qualcomm said local AI inference is 80 percent faster than the previous generation and GPU performance is up to 55 percent higher. The company also highlighted more operating systems, software demos and wider retail and enterprise adoption.
