Netmarble unveiled key systems and a demo build of its new roguelite action role-playing game 'Solo Leveling: Karma' at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026).

Netmarble said on Sept. 17 it held a media presentation for Solo Leveling: Karma at TGS 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Japan.

Hirokazu Yamashita (야마시타 히로카즈), head of Netmarble Japan's business division, and Seong-geon Jin (진성건), head of development at Netmarble Neo, attended and introduced the game's main systems and content.

The TGS demo build includes more than 200 types of buffs and 8 playable characters. The Shadow Army, a key element of the original work, was implemented not as a simple summon but as a character that users can directly control.

Japanese actor Kanata Hongo (혼고 카나타) also took part in the event and played the story mode and survival mode himself.

Solo Leveling: Karma is a mobile roguelite action RPG under development based on the global intellectual property (IP) 'Solo Leveling'. It features the 27-year Monarch War of Sung Jin-woo, which was not covered in detail in the original work, reimagined as a game.

Pre-registration has been under way since Sept. 16 on Google Play and Apple App Store in South Korea and Japan. Participants will receive a limited costume, 'Sung Jin-woo Predator Outfit', a limited accessory, 'Halo Ornament of the Shadow Monarch', a Monarch's Box and a Hunter's Box, and a secret support card.

Yamashita said the company aims to win the Future category at the Japan Game Awards 2026 with the new title. He said it will hold on-site events during TGS, including game demos and giveaways of merchandise, and plans to actively communicate with users until the official launch.
