Government joins hands with Google DeepMind to step up \'K-Moonshot\' through global partnerships
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will cooperate with Google DeepMind on AI-based science and technology innovation, including joint research, talent development and responsible AI use. The sides signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul and agreed to expand collaboration across technology, infrastructure and researcher exchanges. They also plan internships, an AI campus in South Korea, and joint work on AI safety and governance, including testing methodologies.

Google says AI writes 75 percent of new code as engineers shift to reviews
Google says 75 percent of new code written internally is now generated by artificial intelligence, with human engineers largely reviewing the output. The company said it is shifting engineering work toward more autonomous, AI-centred workflows. Google previously put the AI share of internal code at about 25 percent as of October 2024 and said it rose to 50 percent last fall. CEO Sundar Pichai has cited productivity gains from agent-based work.
