KT HCN launches \'Welfare Link Council\' with Busan welfare agencies
KT HCN said it launched the \'Welfare Link Council\' and signed a business agreement with nine welfare agencies in Busan\'s Dongnae and Yeonje areas at Sajik Comprehensive Social Welfare Center on July 6. The council aims to build a cooperation system among local welfare institutions, share welfare information and field cases, and identify blind spots in welfare services. KT HCN will oversee operations and produce and promote related content.

Samsung Electronics to reshape future industry portfolio with region-specific clusters
Samsung plans to reorganise its future industry portfolio into four regional clusters, centred on a Seoul metropolitan semiconductor hub and additional bases in Honam, Chungcheong and Yeongnam. The company said it will invest a total of 2,655 trillion won domestically to foster cutting-edge future industries. Spending includes 2,030 trillion won for the capital region’s chip cluster and 625 trillion won for AI semiconductors, robots, batteries and IT components and materials in other regions.

Semiconductor hub expands to southwest as Samsung, SK outline 1,000 trillion won investment
Samsung Electronics and SK Group plan to expand semiconductor production into South Korea\'s southwest region, citing rising AI-driven memory demand. Samsung plans to build four memory fabs in the area, while SK outlined 2,100 trillion won of investment, including 400 trillion won for a new southwest cluster. Executives presented regional investment plans at the presidential office. The government outlined a nationwide semiconductor cluster strategy and detailed power, water and policy support measures.
