KT HCN, a general cable television operator in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Busan, said on July 8 it held a launch ceremony for the 'Welfare Link Council' and signed a business agreement with nine welfare agencies in the Dongnae and Yeonje areas at Sajik Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Busan's Dongnae district on July 6.
The council was 추진됐다 to establish a cooperation system among welfare agencies in Dongnae-gu and Yeonje-gu and jointly respond to local welfare issues. It aims to identify blind spots in welfare services by sharing welfare information and field cases held by each institution.
Nine organizations joined the council: Dongnae Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Dongnae-gu Senior Welfare Center, Dongnae-gu Disabled Welfare Center, Sajik Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Yeonsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Yeonje-gu Senior Welfare Center, Geoje Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Busan Metropolitan City Senior Welfare Center, and Busan Metropolitan City Disabled Welfare Center.
KT HCN will serve as the lead organizer of the council and oversee overall operations. It will also identify local welfare-related issues and produce and promote them as broadcast content.
Participating agencies will identify welfare needs and issues affecting marginalized groups found in the field and 추진한다 joint cooperation programs to support vulnerable groups. A representatives' meeting led by heads of the agencies will be held once a year, and regular working-level meetings made up of mid-level managers will be held every two months.
KT HCN said it plans to continue working with local welfare agencies to help reduce blind spots in welfare services and contribute to solving community issues, and to actively deliver public-interest information that helps residents' daily lives through its local channel.
