LightInk open-source smartwatch claims up to 400 days on a single charge
An open-source smartwatch project called LightInk has emerged, aiming to maximise battery life with an E-Ink display and a solar charging system. The project’s creator says it can run for up to 400 days on a single charge, even without solar charging. The watch limits features, using a low-resolution black-and-white screen and omitting most health and fitness sensors. It is not sold as a finished product and must be built by users using 3D printing, parts and self-installed software.

K Bank links in-app guaranteed loans with Gyeonggi credit guarantee foundation
K Bank said it has built an in-app integration system for sole proprietors in Gyeonggi province, allowing the entire process from loan application to disbursement to be handled remotely. It said it launched its “Boss Guaranteed Loan” service with the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation and linked the two institutions’ apps so customers can proceed without switching apps or logging in again. It also introduced GPS-based site inspection automation.

Samsung Electronics is upgrading an integrated health solution for runners by combining 14 years of Samsung Health data with precision sensors in the Galaxy Watch. The platform goes beyond basic activity logging to cover posture analysis, heart rate tracking and recovery management, offering metrics used by elite marathon runners in an accessible way. The company also runs a Running Coach service that assigns running levels and recommends training programs, alongside daily indicators such as sleep, mental health and nutrition.
