SK Telecom is expanding its lineup of smart devices for running and offering chances to take part in running events.

SKT said on Saturday it will newly introduce products from global GPS smart device brand Garmin and open-ear earphone brand Shokz.

It is introducing Garmin's running GPS smartwatches, the Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 265. The Forerunner 70 is for beginners in running and customers who want to record everyday exercise. SKT has an exclusive partnership with Garmin and is the only mobile carrier in South Korea to sell the product.

The Forerunner 265 provides professional running data and training functions. The OpenRun Pro 2 is designed to supplement bass performance in bone-conduction earphones.

It is also releasing Shokz's bone-conduction earphones, the OpenRun Pro 2. The OpenRun Pro 2 has previously received strong response for supplementing the limitations of bass expression in bone-conduction earphones.

Garmin and Shokz products are included in the "smart device installment discount" for the Best Max, Best Pro, Best 109 and Direct 5G 76 plans. If a Best Max plan subscriber selects the benefit, the device installment payment can be discounted by up to 24,000 won per month.

The products can be purchased at the T Direct Shop and SKT retail stores nationwide. SKT plans to continue expanding its smart device lineup based on customers' exercise styles and skill levels.

SKT will also take part as the main sponsor of the "2026 Infinite Challenge Run in Gyeongju" to be held in Gyeongju on Sept. 19.

Customers who buy Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 or Galaxy Z Flip8 at SKT can enter a draw for event tickets. Customers who buy smart devices after subscribing to an installment-discount eligible plan will be given an additional chance to enter.

Those who want to participate can enter by selecting either the 10 km or half course on the promotion page by the 31st of this month. SKT will select 1,000 winners in a draw and provide a total of 2,000 tickets, two per person.

The event will be held in a "sunset run" format that runs through Gyeongju's historical and cultural spaces. A half course will be newly operated along with the existing 10 km course. After the run ends, there will be a performance featuring Infinite Challenge cast members and artists.

Yoon Jae-woong (윤재웅), head of SKT's Product & Brand division, said, "We prepared new products and benefits so customers who enjoy running can enjoy a variety of experiences." He added, "We will continue to work to provide differentiated experiences for runner customers."
