NHN launches \'Dissidia Duelrum Final Fantasy\' globally with Square Enix

NHN said on Monday it has launched \'Dissidia Duelrum Final Fantasy\' globally with Square Enix. The mobile game features multiple warriors from the Final Fantasy series. Square Enix handles publishing, while NHN PlayArt and Square Enix jointly developed the title. It supports Korean, English, Japanese and traditional Chinese. Players battle in 3-person teams to defeat a boss first, and the main story is fully voiced.

Naver, Kakao shut ClovaX, Cue and KakaoTV

Naver and Kakao have decided to shut standalone services including Naver’s ClovaX chatbot and Cue generative AI search service and Kakao’s KakaoTV, while moving capabilities into their core platforms. Naver plans to expand AI features such as AI Briefing and an AI Tab across search and shopping, and is testing a shopping AI agent. Kakao is repositioning video consumption and AI services inside KakaoTalk, including short-form video and AI offerings.

Jeong Woo-jin of NHN set for fourth term after record annual operating profit

NHN will submit an agenda item at its March 26 annual general meeting to reappoint CEO Jeong Woo-jin as an inside director. Jeong has led NHN for 12 years since taking office in 2014. The company posted its highest annual operating results since a split, with revenue rising 2.5 percent to 2.5163 trillion won and operating profit returning to 132.4 billion won. NHN is also preparing six new game launches.
