PIPC launches probe into Google over leak of information on victims of digital sex crimes
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission said on Thursday it has launched an investigation into Google after media reports said deletion requests related to digital sex crime material provided to Google were disclosed on an external website. The commission said it is checking the scale, types and period of sensitive personal information provided to the site operator and how the damage occurred. It will also review potential violations of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Volkswagen is applying an upgraded driver assistance system to its electric minivan ID.Buzz. The new IQ.Drive package broadens support from lane changes to highway-exit handling and detection of abnormal driver situations. It includes Travel Assist, Emergency Assist Plus, predictive Active Cruise Control and road experience management. The system can adjust speed with traffic and warn drivers before accelerating. It can also move to the roadside and stop if the driver does not respond.
