Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw total net inflows of $1.08 billion over three trading sessions, turning October’s cumulative flow back to a net inflow.

Cointelegraph, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Oct. 22 that Bitcoin spot ETFs posted net inflows of $528 million that day. That followed $526.6 million on Oct. 20 and $23 million on Oct. 21, marking three straight sessions of net inflows. October’s cumulative flow turned into net inflows of $461 million, and year-to-date net inflows increased to $1.34 billion.

By product, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) drew the most money, at $235 million. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (WBTC) followed with about $213 million. With money flowing back into products from major asset managers, ETF supply-demand conditions, which had been weak recently, appear to be rebounding quickly.

Bitcoin spot ETFs posted net outflows for two straight weeks after $228 million left last week and $681 million the week before. Net inflows for three consecutive sessions reversed that outflow trend.

Flows for altcoin spot ETFs also improved slightly. Ethereum spot ETFs ended five straight sessions of net outflows and turned to net inflows of $15 million. Solana spot ETFs also shifted to net inflows of about $585,000 after 13 straight sessions of net outflows. XRP spot ETFs saw about $709,000 of net inflows.

Market participants are paying attention to the combination of a rebound in the bitcoin price and ETF inflows. On an October cumulative basis, Bitcoin spot ETFs returned to net inflows of about $461 million, recouping a significant portion of the weakness seen early this month.

The bitcoin price rose as high as $84,777 intraday before sliding to around $81,200, giving back part of the gains.

Against that backdrop, the key point to watch is whether inflows are sustained. With $228 million and $681 million having left in each of the past two weeks, the question of whether the three-session net inflows amount to only a short-term bounce is expected to determine the next direction for the ETF market.
