Korean game companies are pushing into consoles as part of broader strategy shifts, expanding hit titles to new devices while building new games for PC and consoles from the outset. The move reflects slower mobile user growth, genre concentration and heavy reliance on domestic revenue. Console markets can support longer sales through DLC, bundles, physical packages, merchandise and sequels for global audiences. Companies are also adopting demos, early access and community feedback ahead of launch.

Line Games is speeding up plans to expand its PC-focused title lineup to target the global market. The company said the demo for its new sci-fi co-op horror game Code Exit, developed by local indie studio Phase8 Studio and serviced by Line Games, reached No. 1 on the Epic Games Store Top Demo chart. It added the demo remained ranked No. 3 and Steam wishlists rose by about 2,500 during the event period.
