Line Games said on Thursday it held a board meeting and appointed Cho Dong-hyun (조동현), its current chief executive, and former chief strategy officer Bae Young-jin (배영진) as new co-chief executive officers.

Cho previously served as head of development and head of the new business division at Nexon Korea. In 2014, he founded game developer Super Awesome and led the "Hello Kitty Friends" project. He joined Line Games as chief operating officer in 2023 and led the launch of "The War of Genesis Mobile". In March 2024, he was appointed co-CEO and pushed for an upgrade of strategy.

Bae established game company Mobilfactory after working at Nexon's investment unit. Until 2023, he served as Line Games' chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. He recently founded and ran venture capital firm Tail Ventures.

Line Games will fully implement its multi-title system and increase the proportion of PC titles for global markets. It plans to unveil at least three new PC titles this year, led by "Ember and Blade".

In mobile, it will proceed with a China launch of "Uncharted Waters Origin" and a global launch of "The War of Genesis Mobile". It will roll out a multi-title mobile strategy for "Fairy Tail Quest" and "Animal Busters".

Cho and Bae said, "In an increasingly fierce market environment, we will strengthen the company's fundamentals and secure competitiveness to respond to change."
