Ethereum warning signs mount as ETF flows slow and long bias grows
Ethereum is showing more fragile price action than other major assets as inflation pressure and interest-rate uncertainty rise, market maker Wintermute said. It pointed to higher inflation expectations, uncertainty over 2026 second-quarter prices and the Strait of Hormuz, and a greater chance of a U.S. Federal Reserve rate hike by year-end. Spot and derivatives indicators weakened, ETF flows slowed and sentiment fell into fear, while long positions remained crowded.

Mirae Asset Management to inject 50 billion won more into Mirae Asset Life
Mirae Asset Management will make an additional 50 billion won capital injection into affiliate Mirae Asset Life Insurance as a strategic investment aimed at strengthening governance and expanding financial synergies within the group. The company said it decided on the additional investment in Mirae Asset Life common shares and disclosed it on May 19. The investment follows completion of funds announced on March 13 and will be carried out through on-exchange purchases from May to December 2026.

Kross signs validator MOU with CertiK to join Mainnet 2.0 verification
Kross Protocol said on May 20 it signed a memorandum of understanding with blockchain security firm CertiK to cooperate on validator operations, adding CertiK as a new validator. Under the agreement, CertiK will operate an independent validator node, verifying transactions and participating in block production. Kross is set to upgrade to Mainnet 2.0 on June 1. Nexth has previously signed a broad cooperation MOU with CertiK.
