AI, semiconductors also traded as perpetual futures as RWA derivatives market tops $2 trillion

The market for RWA perpetual futures, which track prices of real-world assets such as stocks and commodities, is expanding quickly. Cumulative third-quarter trading volume exceeded $2 trillion before the quarter ended, up more than 67 percent from about $1.2 trillion in the second quarter. Activity has concentrated in popular contracts such as S&P 500-linked products, gold and oil, while trading has also moved from centralized exchanges to decentralized venues.
