Agentic AI appears set to spread faster, based on hands-on use of agentic AI PCs built into laptops and glasses. In demo rooms at Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui, Google Book opened apps and photos from a nearby smartphone directly on a laptop without using the cloud, while Gemini on XR glasses guided photo editing. Demos also showed cross-device continuity, peer-to-peer file access over Wi-Fi, standalone smart glasses operation, and an AI PC that drafts proposals and emails for final user approval.

OpenAI has added voice-based agent features to the ChatGPT mobile app, enabling users to handle tasks such as writing documents, drafting emails and summarising Slack messages by voice on a smartphone. The update supports starting work on mobile and continuing on desktop. Plus and Pro subscribers can also build websites, create presentations, use a cloud browser and access finance-related areas in ChatGPT.
