Android to add \'Continue On\' to extend phone tasks to tablets
Android is preparing a new cross-device continuity feature called \'Continue On\', designed to let users resume work started on one Android device on another without interruption. Initial support focuses on switching from smartphones to tablets. When users stop using an app on a phone, the state is sent to another device and appears on the tablet taskbar as a \'Handoff Suggestion\'. Google plans to offer the feature at the Android 17 API level for third-party apps.

Ripple CEO says CLARITY Act passage not guaranteed despite stablecoin compromise
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse warned the next 2 weeks could be pivotal for the U.S. digital asset market structure bill known as the CLARITY Act, saying its passage is not assured despite a recent Senate compromise on stablecoin yield issues. He said failure to address the bill soon could sharply reduce its chances as the 2026 midterm election cycle approaches. The bill also requires further Senate committee approval before a floor vote.
