KAIT revamps DIAT \'Information and Communications AI Literacy\' test
The Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT) is revamping a DIAT subject into \'Information and Communications AI Literacy\' to broaden assessment beyond PC and communications basics. The revised test will cover AI concepts and operating principles, use of generative AI, analysis and verification of outputs, AI ethics and digital literacy. It will consist of three areas: understanding information and communications, understanding AI, and understanding digital society. The first regular test is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2027.

July ICT exports hit record for month at $53.36 billion; semiconductors up 178.8 percent
South Korea\'s information and communications technology exports in July rose 140.6 percent from a year earlier to $53.36 billion, the biggest on record for the month. Imports increased 37.3 percent to $18.3 billion, leaving a trade surplus of $35.06 billion. Semiconductor exports climbed 178.8 percent to $41.02 billion, while computer and peripheral shipments jumped 353.9 percent to $4.94 billion.
