Google Chrome to update every two weeks as AI reshapes security landscape

Google has shortened Chrome’s major update cycle to two weeks from four, applying the new schedule with the release of Chrome 153 for desktop, Android and iOS. OpenAI will end service for its Mac-only web browser \'ChatGPT Atlas\' on Aug. 9, the IT outlet 9to5Mac reported. OpenAI warned Atlas may no longer open or support web browsing and agent-style workflows after the shutdown. Bookmarks will not migrate automatically, and users are advised to export them to an HTML file and save key pages before the deadline. Chat history will remain accessible. Security updates will also stop.
