Western Digital completes carbon-free energy transition at 5 manufacturing sites

Western Digital is pursuing an energy strategy aimed at sustainability as AI storage demand accelerates, it said on April 23, publishing its FY2025 sustainability report. It said it now runs five manufacturing sites on 100 percent carbon-free energy and raised renewable energy use across global manufacturing to 66 percent. It also reported lower emissions intensity in product use, new supply-chain targets, and progress on recycled materials and rare-earth recovery.

LG Uplus wins CDP Carbon Management Honors Club award

LG Uplus said on March 10 it won the Carbon Management Honors Club award in the Carbon Disclosure Project assessment, the only telecom in South Korea to receive it. CDP collects and evaluates environmental management data from about 24,000 companies worldwide. The Honors Club award is given only to the top 5 companies in South Korea. LG Uplus said it won for a second straight year and again received the top Leadership A rating.

JB Financial wins top grade in CDP climate change assessment

JB Financial Group said on Wednesday it received an A grade, the top rating, in the Carbon Disclosure Project\'s climate change assessment. It described CDP as a global environmental information disclosure platform that evaluates companies\' disclosure levels and response strategies and releases annual ratings. JB Financial said it is pursuing group-wide ESG management and cited renewable-energy power purchase agreements and a RE100-focused loan product.
