ABB, an electrification and automation solutions company, said on Tuesday it earned the top “A” grade in both climate change response and water management in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)’s 2025 assessment.

The nonprofit CDP asks major companies worldwide to disclose management information related to environmental issues such as climate change and forests, analyzes the disclosures and annually evaluates companies’ response levels and transparency.

ABB said it was among the top 1 percent of about 22,100 companies participating in the assessment to receive A ratings simultaneously in the two categories.

Anke Hampel (안케 함펠), head of sustainability at ABB Group, said making CDP’s A List in both climate change and water management meant its leadership had been officially recognized in sustainability performance and corporate transparency. She said ABB’s first-time A rating in water management reflected its continued efforts in managing exposure to water risks, responsible management, strengthening governance and expanding supply chain engagement to respond to water risks.
