KB Financial Group has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series, a global ESG index, for the 16th consecutive year.
KB Financial said on Aug. 21 it has been selected for FTSE Russell’s FTSE4Good Index Series constituents for 16 straight years since 2011.
FTSE4Good is an ESG investment index compiled by FTSE Russell, part of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), by assessing listed companies’ performance in environment, social and governance. It is used as a benchmark for 구성 of ESG investment products and for comparing and evaluating the performance of investment portfolios.
In this assessment, KB Financial received scores above the industry average across environment, social and governance.
KB Financial is also maintaining grades in other global ESG assessments. It received an AAA rating for 5 consecutive times in the MSCI ESG assessment and was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for 10 consecutive times. It also obtained an A rating for 2 straight years in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) climate change response assessment.
A KB Financial official said, "Inclusion in the FTSE4Good index for 16 consecutive years is the result of continuing sustainable management across environment, social and governance." The official added, "We will continue to support young people’s growth and self-reliance, revitalisation of local communities and innovation by small and medium-sized enterprises."
