Broadcast Media and Telecommunications Commission follows up on transfer of paid TV fund levy tasks
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media and Telecommunications Commission revised rules governing the collection and assessment of levies on paid television operators for the Broadcasting and Communications Development Fund. The commission approved partial amendments and added a regulatory review clause under government guidance. It also amended fund management rules, updated referenced agency names and reorganised review provisions. The panel revised administrative penalties for location data violations and reviewed 11 channel provider change applications.
