Up to 6 percent fines on illegal spam sales take effect Oct 1

A system to impose fines of up to 6 percent of related sales on illegal spam senders and businesses that neglect prevention obligations will take effect next month. South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media and Communications Commission and the Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) selected 8 programs from 8 broadcasters for the 2026 local broadcasting AI production demonstration support initiative, it said on Thursday. The programme provides AI production technology training to local broadcasters that face difficulties adopting new technologies due to limited budgets and staffing, and supports applying the training to actual programme production.
