AI coding solves 24/7 news monitoring in AX test by Broadcast Media and Communications Commission official
South Korean government ministries are showing growing interest in AI transformation, but budgeting and procurement hurdles make adoption difficult. Park Jong-hyun (박종현), an official in the Broadcasting Media and Communications Commission spokesperson’s office, built an AI-assisted news monitoring system using AI coding. He said the only cost was a 30,000 won Claude subscription. The web app links to the Naver News API, collects articles and generates AI summaries for reports, cutting a task that took up to an hour to under 5 minutes.
