Urak joins Nvidia-backed N-UP to advance on-device AI forensics

AI digital forensics company Urak said on Tuesday it will join the Global Corporate Collaboration Program N-UP, promoted by South Korea\'s Ministry of SMEs and Startups and supported by Nvidia. Urak said it was selected after an evaluation of its technological competitiveness, commercialization potential and global expansion prospects in AI digital forensics. The company plans to upgrade on-device, field-ready forensic technology and accelerate product development of dedicated AI edge devices.

KT, Seoul National University Hospital to build medical AX platform

KT will work with Seoul National University Hospital to build a medical AI transformation (AX) platform, signing a memorandum of understanding in Seoul on Aug. 17. The two sides will jointly pursue a standard model for the platform, verification and advancement of government policy projects such as AI-native hospitals, AI-based clinical decision support and work efficiency, and broader expansion into the healthcare market. KT will take part across planning, development, validation and commercialisation.

National Science and Technology Advisory Council holds first PACST science and technology forum

South Korea’s National Science and Technology Advisory Council held the first PACST Science and Technology Forum with the Science and Technology Policy Institute in Seoul on Wednesday. The forum was set up to review the purpose and direction of national research and development over the past 60 years and to seek a future science and technology policy vision. It plans to hold four PACST forums in total through year-end, with sessions scheduled for Sept. 30, Nov. 4 and Dec. 16.
