Musk built empire on clean energy but xAI data centers run on natural gas

Elon Musk (일론 머스크) may have abandoned Tesla’s master plan and solar-energy vision, TechCrunch reported, citing SpaceX IPO filings released this week. Tesla’s master plans centred on electrifying the economy, but Musk-led xAI runs data centres on dozens of unregulated natural gas turbines and plans additional purchases. The filings also describe cross-company spending, a focus on space-based solar power and assumptions of terawatt-scale AI computing growth.

MSIT holds meeting with phase 2 Limit Challenge R&D lead PMs

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held a meeting on the Limit Challenge R&D programme chaired by First Vice Minister Koo Hyuk-chae. The project supports high-risk research with potentially large scientific, economic and social impact. The ministry said lead programme managers oversee the full R&D process, from trend analysis and topic discovery to planning, progress checks and dissemination. The ministry aims to develop a Korean-style innovation challenge R&D management model.

Samsung, Google unveil Android XR glasses set for second-half launch

Samsung Electronics and Google unveiled two Android XR-based AI glasses for the first time at Google I/O 2026 in Mountain View, California. The glasses were designed by eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, marking the first release of actual designs since the partnership was announced in December. The companion device has no display but includes a speaker, camera and microphone for voice-driven features linked to Galaxy AI phones and Google’s Gemini.
