Shift Up to expand \'Stellar Blade\' platforms, Nintendo Switch 2 launch due in 2026
Shift Up is accelerating efforts to diversify platforms for its global hit \'Stellar Blade\' to support long-term performance of the intellectual property and broaden its global user base. The company said it will release a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the action-adventure game in 2026. The plan was first unveiled through Nintendo\'s online showcase \'Nintendo Direct 2026\', expanding availability beyond PlayStation 5 and PC.

Shift Up unveiled the official title and a new trailer for its new game, \"Stellar Blade: Blood Rain,\" at Summer Game Fest 2026, which opened on June 5 local time. The 3 minute 30 second trailer consists of actual in-game gameplay footage and introduces a new protagonist, Evie, set after the events of the previous title. The company also said it plans to handle publishing itself.

NCSoft is presenting its MMORPG Aion 2 at Summer Game Fest 2026 and has confirmed a global launch in September. It will also run demos at SGF Play Days and has formed a specialist team for Western publishing.
