One-third of global Wi-Fi networks still on Wi-Fi 4, limiting speeds of latest phones

About one-third of Wi-Fi networks worldwide still rely on Wi-Fi 4, a standard introduced in 2009, a survey showed. Ookla said 33.2 percent of global Wi-Fi networks use Wi-Fi 4-based equipment, while Wi-Fi 5 accounts for 38.3 percent and Wi-Fi 6 for 26.7 percent. Wi-Fi 7 stands at 1.8 percent. Older routers cannot use the 6 GHz band, which can worsen congestion and performance in dense areas.

XRP slide puts $0.94 support in focus

XRP slipped below its February low before rebounding around $1.05, but some analysts say the decline may not be over. XRP recovered to $1.11 after hitting a weekly low, while a key weekly support level at $0.94 has yet to be tested. TradingView analyst Duke pointed to a lower-high structure, continued pressure below the 21-week EMA and liquidity concentrated near $1.05. He said a move toward $0.94 could imply about a 20 percent additional drop from $1.17.

South Korea to raise domestic postage rates by up to 17.5 percent from July

South Korea\'s Postal Service will raise domestic standard mail rates by up to 17.5 percent from next month, pushing the price of a typical letter to 500 won. The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service has issued an advance notice of a revision that would increase standard domestic postage by 70 won per item. The new rates will take effect from next month 1 if confirmed after collecting opinions.
