SOOP to expand production and live broadcasts of swimming events, schedule more than 20 this year
SOOP is stepping up content production and live broadcasting of swimming events spanning recreational and elite sports. The company plans to expand production and live coverage of major domestic swimming and finswimming meets this year, scheduling more than 20 events. SOOP held its own event, SOOP Swim Fest 2026, in June at Daebudo Welfare Sports Center under an MOU project with the Ansan City Swimming Federation.

Kakao cut data centre greenhouse gas emissions by 4,753 tonnes last year
Kakao published its 2025 sustainability report and launched a dedicated website to provide related information in one place. Applying ISSB standards, the report examines how three key issues — user protection, information security and climate change response — affect the company and society. Kakao said it cut 4,753 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency at its Ansan data centre and expanded renewable energy procurement.

SOOP to exclusively live stream 2026 CMAS World Finswimming Championships in South Korea
SOOP will produce the official broadcast of the 2026 CMAS World Finswimming Championships, which will be held in South Korea for the first time, and will exclusively live stream all events among domestic media platforms. SOOP said the event will take place at the Munhak Park Tae-hwan Swimming Pool in Incheon and run through June 28. It is hosted by CMAS and will feature about 600 athletes from 40 countries.
