[DigitalToday reporter Hojeong Lee] SOOP is stepping up content production and live broadcasts of swimming competitions spanning recreational and elite sports.

SOOP said on Wednesday it plans to expand production and live coverage of major domestic swimming and finswimming competitions this year, showcasing more than 20 swimming events in total.

SOOP previously held its own event, SOOP Swim Fest 2026, at Daebudo Welfare Sports Center in June as part of an MOU project with the Ansan City Swimming Federation. About 1,200 athletes took part, and more than 3,000 people visited the venue over two days.

The event applied an in-house production system, including sport-specific graphic captions for swimming events and drone filming. It also placed a large light-emitting diode (LED) screen for finalists and was operated as a participant-focused festival concept.

In the first half of this year, the company produced and live-streamed a number of domestic and international swimming events, including the Seoul trials for the National Sports for All Festival, the Seoul trials for the National Youth Sports Festival, the National Physical Education High School Sports Competition and the CMAS World Finswimming Championships.

It will continue live broadcasts of major competitions, including the 47th Seoul Special City Mayor's Cup and the Seoul trials for the 107th National Sports Festival, to be held in August. It plans to cooperate with the Ansan City Swimming Federation, the Seoul Swimming Federation and the Korea Underwater Fin Swimming Association to contribute to broadening participation in swimming.
