ITCEN CTS, an IT infrastructure company under ITCEN Group, is working with Lotte Innovate to expand its artificial intelligence data centre business, starting with the operation of the Ansan Global Cloud Center (GCC) due for completion in 2027.

The Ansan GCC is a next-generation data centre being built to respond to rising demand for data processing driven by the spread of AI and cloud services. Lotte Innovate has signed a contract with Aegis Asset Management and will oversee operations of the Ansan GCC.

Starting with this cooperation, the two companies plan to expand the scope of collaboration to hyperscale and edge data centre projects planned in the future. By combining their capabilities in IT infrastructure and data centre business, they plan to pursue joint sales and marketing and will also actively seek new data centre business opportunities.

ITCEN CTS is participating in the project as a partner and will support data centre operations based on its professional operations staff and IT infrastructure operating capabilities.

ITCEN CTS also has a strategy to use its participation in operating the Ansan GCC as a momentum to speed up expansion of its data centre business, including AIDC.

ITCEN CTS CEO Sang-wook Han (한상욱) said, "As data centres become more important with the spread of AI and cloud, stable infrastructure operation capabilities are also becoming a core competitive strength." He added, "Through cooperation with Lotte Innovate, we will continue to strengthen our data centre operating capabilities and business experience, and we will expand our business scope to hyperscale and edge data centres to grow into a comprehensive data centre operator."
