Apple revives health strategy in smartglasses after Vision Pro scrap

Apple is pushing plans to expand its in-development non-augmented reality smartglasses into a health and fitness platform, though such features are unlikely to be a focus in a first-generation product. Bloomberg\'s Mark Gurman said Apple is reviewing ways to revive health platform ideas it had explored for Vision Pro. Those plans were shelved due to the headset\'s weight. Apple may unveil more than 15 new products this fall, an IT outlet reported. The lineup under discussion spans iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, Mac, iPad, home devices and smart glasses. The report said Apple could skip a base iPhone 18 in favor of Pro models, a first foldable iPhone dubbed iPhone Ultra and an iPhone Air 2. It also cited M5-based Mac updates, new iPads and expanded home devices linked to a new Siri timeline.
