AWS to hold AWS Summit Seoul 2026 in May, outline next 20-year vision led by agentic AI
Amazon Web Services will hold the AI and cloud conference AWS Summit Seoul 2026 on May 20-21 at COEX in Seoul. Marking 20 years since the launch of Amazon S3 and 10 years since opening the Seoul region, AWS will review its past two decades and present a vision for the next 20 years led by agentic AI. The event includes special booths and industry and AI sessions with keynotes by AWS executives and partners.

Kyobo Lifeplanet shifts Laplay insurance marketing platform to AWS, steps up push overseas
Kyobo Lifeplanet Life Insurance, a digital life insurer without agents, said it has shifted its digital insurance marketing platform Laplay to Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure and is stepping up expansion of the solution for overseas insurers. The company upgraded its architecture to a microservices structure and built a multi-country independent deployment environment. Laplay combines health-management rewards and content with gamified missions to help users earn points usable for premiums and everyday purchases.

Rahul Pathak of Amazon Web Services said 2026 is the year of AI agents and that data is the biggest differentiator. He set out four priorities drawn from more than 1,000 conversations with customers and partners: clear goals, data, guardrails and execution speed. He cited partners building agentic AI platforms on Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore, reporting productivity gains of 50 to 85 percent and 4 times ROI. AWS and AWS Korea also outlined their agentic AI stack and 2026 partner strategy.
