KT accelerates AI-based distribution AX with NongHyup Agri Holdings and Microsoft

KT said on Aug. 18 it signed a memorandum of understanding with NongHyup Agri Holdings and Microsoft Korea to drive AI and cloud-based distribution AX innovation. The cooperation follows KT’s public cloud migration project for NongHyup Agri Holdings’ agricultural online mall, NH Sing Sing Mall, which moved systems, infrastructure, network and security to Microsoft Azure and began service in July. The partners plan AI-based customer service, data-driven marketing and agentic AI services.

LG Uplus steps up AWS-based public cloud business

LG Uplus said it will expand its public cloud business by combining Amazon Web Services\' global cloud infrastructure with its network and security operations capabilities. The company said on Aug. 12 it officially registered its AWS infrastructure-as-a-service brokerage offering, \'LG Uplus Brokerage Service for Amazon Web Services\', on the Digital Service Use Support System. The registration allows public-sector users to find and contract for the service through the platform.

KT builds next-generation AICC for NH Nonghyup Bank

KT said on Monday it completed NH Nonghyup Bank’s next-generation AI Contact Center project. The 40 billion won project focuses on converting consultation systems at Nonghyup Bank and mutual finance units nationwide to an AI-based model to strengthen customer service quality and operational efficiency. KT linked an AI callbot to core systems to enable inquiries and transaction processing, expanded AI-handled tasks and improved speech recognition accuracy. The partners plan to further expand AI- and data-based consultation innovation.
