Big Tech steps up coding AI push, arms with China AI performance
Big Tech companies are accelerating an offensive in the coding AI tools market, raising questions about shifts in a field led by Anthropic, OpenAI and Cursor. Meta unveiled its first AI coding agent, Muse Code, in beta. Google is in talks on a deal worth about $1.5 billion involving AI coding startup Mechanize. AWS launched Kiro Crew, an autonomous workspace. Chinese firms also quickened moves to build large-scale AI models.

LG CNS designs airport AX plans for 14 airports, tests AI agent technology
LG CNS said on Tuesday it has won Korea Airports Corp\'s project to draw up an AI masterplan. The project sets mid- to long-term strategy and phased execution plans to apply AI at 14 airports nationwide, including Gimpo, Gimhae and Jeju. LG CNS will identify AI services for operations optimisation, customer service and safety, and handle architecture design, governance and technology verification. It will also review agentic AI for safety management.

Red Hat launches Asago to lead open-source project automating AI governance
Red Hat has launched an open-source community project called Asago to automatically convert AI governance policies into operational controls. The project links policy requirements to deployment configurations that can be applied to AI systems, and automates policy interpretation, risk assessment, safeguard recommendations and configuration creation. It maps policies to standards such as the NIST AI risk framework, OWASP LLM Top 10 and the EU AI Act, and supports hybrid cloud and Kubernetes deployments.
