Douzone Bizon said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with law firm Sejong on cooperation in AI governance and compliance.

Through the partnership, the two companies will build a cooperation framework to jointly respond to demand for legal advice related to AI governance and compliance, building security systems and managing legal risks required as companies pursue AX, or AI transformation.

The partners said they plan to combine their expertise to respond to growing demand for regulatory 대응 and risk management as the adoption of AI by companies expands.

Sejong will be responsible for legal advice on AI-related laws and regulatory analysis, establishing compliance and security systems, and risk assessment and control frameworks. Douzone Bizon will build AI governance, security systems and dashboards based on analysis of customers' operations and systems, and support technical implementation through links with ERP and other business systems.

The partners said they plan to expand the scope of cooperation across regulated industries, starting with the financial sector and moving to areas such as healthcare.

Douzone Bizon co-CEO Yong-gu Ji (지용구) said, "To use AI safely and responsibly, understanding laws and institutions must go together with the technology to implement them in real systems." He said the company will support Sejong to help companies establish AI governance frameworks they can trust.
