Lam Research Korea to hire 100 semiconductor equipment technicians

Lam Research Manufacturing Korea said on Thursday it will hire about 100 manufacturing operations technicians to handle assembly and testing of semiconductor equipment. The company said the hiring follows Lam Research’s procurement in South Korea surpassing 1 trillion won last year and is aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing activity this year as a long-term investment. Applicants must be high school graduates or above, with applications due by 5 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Mplus posts 24.6 billion won 2025 operating profit, up 143 percent

Mplus said on Thursday it recorded 184.2 billion won in 2025 consolidated revenue and 24.6 billion won in operating profit. Revenue rose 43 percent and operating profit increased 143.4 percent from the previous year, it said. The operating margin was 13.3 percent. Net profit climbed 79.7 percent to 19.7 billion won. The company attributed the gain to higher sales of high-margin equipment in overseas markets.

Crypto trader Wealthmanager said he opened a $50,000 short position in XRP after warning holders as the token fell to its lowest level since 2024.
