BMC practises neighbourly love with traditional market goods ahead of Lunar New Year

South Korea's Broadcasting and Media Communications Commission said on Thursday that Chairman Kim Jong-cheol (김종철) and staff visited Bakdal Market in Anyang, Gyeonggi province, bought farm and livestock products and delivered them to a children's welfare facility, Anyang's House. The commission said the donation was funded by voluntary monthly contributions from staff. It said it has also continued other social contribution activities, including support for single-parent families and coal briquette donations.

Woori Investment Securities posts 10.9 billion won operating profit in 2025, returns to profit

Woori Investment Securities said on Thursday it recorded an operating profit of 10.9 billion won in 2025, returning to profit from a year earlier. Net profit rose to 27.4 billion won, up 1,250 percent, while revenue increased 18.3 percent to 187.1 billion won. Interest income rose 12.7 percent to 120.1 billion won and non-interest income gained 29.8 percent to 67.0 billion won.
