99 percent of financial advisers plan to maintain or increase crypto investments in 2026

Cryptocurrencies are gaining a firmer foothold among financial advisers, a joint survey by Bitwise and BetaFi showed. Of advisers who invested in crypto in 2025, 99 percent plan to maintain or increase investments in 2026. About 32 percent said they invested in crypto for clients in 2025, up 10 percentage points from a year earlier. Crypto weights in portfolios rose, more advisers held crypto personally, and the share able to buy crypto directly in client accounts increased.

Baek Kyung-hoon says national AI will be assessed by standards the public can accept

Deputy Prime Minister Baek Kyung-hoon, who also serves as science and ICT minister, said the government will release detailed results from evaluations of homegrown AI foundation models. He said the assessment was carried out using standards that all citizens can accept and that results will be disclosed in technical, policy and ethical terms. Five consortia including Naver Cloud, Upstage, SK Telecom, NC AI and LG AI Research are awaiting first-round results. Baek also said support would continue for consortia that are not selected.

Tmap Mobility, Mercedes-Benz to advance SDV strategy

SK Group will cooperate with Mercedes-Benz Group in the future mobility sector under the lead of Tmap Mobility. Tmap Mobility said executives from both sides discussed a strategic partnership in Seoul. They reviewed ways to combine SK’s capabilities in AI, mobility, batteries, semiconductors and energy with Mercedes-Benz vehicle and software technology. The companies plan to jointly advance an SDV strategy linking vehicles, maps, AI and ADAS.
