CoinShares withdraws staking Solana ETF filing with SEC

CoinShares pulled its filing for a staking Solana ETF with the SEC, according to a Cointelegraph report. The SEC said the withdrawal stemmed from unfinished fund restructuring and asset purchases. The United States recently saw REX Osprey launch the first staking Solana ETF, followed by Bitwise with a second product that drew about 230 million dollars on its first trading day. Despite investor interest, Solana’s price has fallen from above 250 dollars last September to about 120 dollars.

It says weak interoperability may fragment markets and worsen liquidity. The IMF notes that governments have historically stepped into financial innovation and predicts increased regulatory involvement in tokenised markets, citing the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement as an example of state-led system redesign.
