Korea Exchange chairman lays out plan for KOSPI 5,000 era, 24-hour trading and crypto ETFs

Korea Exchange Chairman Jung Eun-bo presented a blueprint for opening a “KOSPI 5,000 era” in 2026. He plans to build a 24-hour trading system in stages and push to introduce digital finance products including cryptocurrency ETFs. Jung said the market should move beyond the “Korea discount” toward a “premium market.” He cited gains in key valuation indicators in 2025 and set three priorities for 2026, including fair markets, productive finance and stronger competitiveness.
