Samsung Electronics said on Thursday it will present musical content through Samsung TV Plus, an advertising-based free streaming service. The service was set up to improve access to watching performances and reduce differences in viewing experiences that varied by seat location or viewing environment.

The first content will be the original Korean production of "Maybe Happy Ending", which won 6 Tony Awards. It will be released every Sunday at 7 p.m. through the exclusive Samsung TV Plus channel STN (Samsung TV Network), from Sunday at 7 p.m. through Aug. 16.

Samsung Electronics will also present the musical "Hero" on Aug. 15, Liberation Day, and "Crash Landing on You" on Sept. 27, during the Chuseok holiday period. It plans to additionally release representative musical works each month.

Lee Gwi-ho (이귀호), a vice president at Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said, "By bringing the emotion of the theater into the living room through Samsung TV Plus, we handed the initiative of watching performances over to the audience." He added, "Please look forward to the new viewing culture that Samsung is opening."
