Nolyuniverse has launched a service that suggests travel content tailored to users' preferences without requiring searches. Nolyuniverse said on Thursday it released a beta version of the AI-curated 'Discovery' service on its travel and leisure platform NOL.
The 'Discovery' service is a curation feature that provides travel and leisure content in a feed format. It supports daily recommendations of new content even if customers do not search.
Users can browse various content like a feed in the 'Discovery' tab at the top of the main home screen and find travel and leisure options that match their tastes. It provides travel destinations trending on SNS, popular accommodation and performances, and newly emerging activities. Even without a specific plan, users can get new travel and leisure ideas by simply opening the app, and content they like leads directly to bookings.
Previously, users first decided on a destination or product they wanted to visit and then searched for it. With the introduction of the 'Discovery' service, it has become possible to find unexpected travel and leisure experiences while browsing content. Destinations and hidden attractions that were difficult to encounter through search alone, as well as popular activities, can also be recommended naturally. Through this, NOL plans to evolve beyond a platform used only when taking a trip into a daily platform that users visit consistently in everyday life.
Nolyuniverse implemented the service based on AI agent technology. The AI comprehensively analyses travel and leisure trends trending on SNS, search and booking volumes within the NOL platform, and customer reviews to identify content with high interest. It automatically performs the entire process from image collection to product matching and content creation. It also combines customer behaviour data to recommend content tailored to individual preferences.
Yoon Hyun-mo (윤현모), Nolyuniverse's chief product officer, said, "The opening of this service is an important first step toward evolving beyond a platform where customers find what they want into a platform where they can discover enjoyment they did not know." He added, "We plan to continue developing into a platform people want to visit every day by connecting content more precisely to customers' tastes based on travel and leisure-focused AI technology and data."
