Shinhan Financial Group will hold a tournament for promising male amateur golfers in South Korea.

Shinhan Financial said on Thursday it will host the third Shinhan Donghae Men's Amateur Golf Championship from July 14 to 17 at Gochang Country Club.

Shinhan Financial will host the tournament and the Korea Golf Association (KGA) will oversee it. A total of 112 South Korean amateur players will compete, including Shinhan-sponsored golfers Kim Min-su (김민수) and Yoo Min-hyeok (유민혁). National team players and reserve national team members will also take part.

The event will be played over 4 rounds and 72 holes in stroke play format.

Scholarships will be awarded to top finishers. The overall winner will receive an entry to the 42nd Shinhan Donghae Open, to be held from Sept. 10 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club (GC) in Songdo, Incheon.

A Shinhan Financial official said, "Based on the operating philosophy of the Shinhan Donghae Open, which has a history of more than 40 years, we will continue our support to foster young golfers."
